| hey y'all!
yeah, so as you can see, iv kinda ditched dear xanga for facebook!!! haaa, actually, i ditched it for myspace at first, and then i switched to facebook! ...which, by the way, i like so much better, but because im "fasting" from facebook for a week (which has been THE most difficult think to do), iv decided to post on xanga instead.
im not sure how many of you watch oprah, but she aired a show last week on the Secret of Life. im posting the link... it's definitely an interesting read, and according to her, it may change your life. i have my own thoughts on it, though, and id love to hear your thoughts on it too, so here's the link:
http://www.oprah.com/tows/pastshows/200702/tows_past_20070208.jhtml
just start by clicking on the picture of the blonde lady with the caption that says, "what is the secret?" or something like that, and start reading! it's a little long, but very interesting. personally, i believe in a sense that as a believer in Jesus Christ, yeah, i can sort of agree to a certain extent with their "secret", although my 'equivalent' to it would be God. The difference is that what I know to be the REAL success in life is NOT a secret at all. God is here for all to know. His gift is free, and it frees. anyway, i dont check xanga much anymore... at all... but obviously now that iv posted this, i may be checking it later on if people post. lemme know what you think!

| so i was checkin' my myspace account today and noticed something that my dorm sister sarah had posted. she wrote about how a new movie is coming out that's called "End of the Spear"... it's based on the Jim Elliot story that happened in Ecuador like "Beyond the Gates of Splendor". If you want to read up about it, here's the site addy:
www.endofthespear.com
Although it can't quite possibly compare with "Beyond the Gates of Splendor" simply because... well, it just isn't as real as a documentary, I believe it can still be just as powerful in reaching out to people who do not yet fully understand the POWER of God's amazing love. anyway, pray that this movie will truly impact people's hearts and place a passion in God's people to DARE TO MOVE beyond their comfort zones for the sake of the call. |
